Little Bundy’s recycled and upcycled fashion blog
Peek into Little Bundy’s part real and part 'wish-list' closet for second-hand, recycled, upcycled, retro, vintage and high street fashion with a little bit of designer indulgence for good measure. Share my drooling over things I don't own but covert from a far and enjoy the fruits of my fashion expeditions. Fashion, to me, is something to enjoy, take pleasure in, to explore and to share.

It's been a while...
It has been almost a year since I posted on my blog. I can't believe it! So in that time I became pregnant and completely shifted my focus on the types of fashion and clothes that I was coveting. It became less about fitted cute dresses and skirts and more about anything that would fit my growing body. I picked up some good ideas along the way from fellow bloggers and images on sites like Pinterest. Most of my projects helped me out in my clothes dilemma in the earlier stages of my pregnancy but I have to be honest and say that as I got bigger in the later stages I found that I needed to leave some things to the professionals and actually go out and buy key items like trousers! I was quite proud however that my bought maternity wardrobe was quite small and that my improvised one more than carried me through my pregnancy. I will post some of my own ideas (like the one in the picture above) and favourites from others in a special maternity section in the coming weeks/months. Since having my lovely little one I am now slowly reacquainting myself with my old wardrobe. It is difficult, it is more like introducing my new body to my old bodies clothes and seeing what fits! And unfortunately not everything does. Not yet anyway. So the journey continues...

Button decorated pumps
Firstly I must apologise for the absence of new posts on my blog. After moving house I have been without an adequate Internet connection to continue my regular blog posts, but now I am back :)
As I have mentioned before my friend Mac loves buttons so buttons tend to feature in some way in the gifts I give her for Birthdays or Christmas. This Christmas was no exception. I had a tight budget this year (as I am sure many people did!) so I was really pleased when I was inspired by a pinner on pintrest to create these button covered pumps.
First I got the plain pumps from Primark and then pulled out my collection of buttons and just began selecting a range of buttons I thought would work. Then I simply began sewing them on. Now I admit I struggle with being totally random so I couldn't go all out and just let the buttons take over but I did manage to stop myself trying to match all the buttons on one shoe with the other (small victory for me!). I slightly overlapped some of the buttons to give them some depth and stuck to a area on the front of the shoe to give it a high street look.
What do you think? I was very pleased and by all accounts so was my button mad friend who wore them on Christmas Day :)

Thrifty outfit No. 2 - eBay bargains
I had been after a dress I has seen while out shopping with my cousin and foolish didn't take her advice when she told me to buy it as it was in the sale and would be unavailable soon. Anyway I took to eBay in my usual fashion when I can't afford something from the shop but still want it and searched for the object of my dress shaped affections. I did come across a quite a few in my travels but all sold for more than I wanted to pay so I waited a little longer, until last weekend that is. Sitting in McDonald's with my fiance having out Sunday treat (yes McDonald's is a treat to me) I bid and won the dress I had been after for a mere £8.27 + £3.50 postage. the dress is brand new and I love it! It will be perfect for a night out or one of those dress up extra special days at work :)
I urge you all to see eBay as your friend, be patient, be clever and set yourself a limit. You wont be disappointed!
